How do you keep the highest-grossing animated franchise from falling victim to its own success? Don’t let anyone hit the snooze button. As part of the in-house Illumination team, we focused on asserting a distinct point of view and subversively engaging with pop culture to reenergize a fanbase that’s grown up with the characters.
College-age viewers watched the shows but didn't differentiate HBO from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu. HBO asked for earned, we gave them a box full of it.

As ANA's global social media AOR we've built a social media presence for ANA like no other airline. Typical carriers' feeds are about as inspiring as an in-flight magazine. @allnipponairways_official commissions/creates content inspired by traditional and modern Japanese art & culture to appeal to Japan-stans vs. conventional tourists.

flair airlines is out to democratize flying in Canada. We helped them take off with a campaign to shift Canadian's attitudes about flying – with good deals, it's not a big deal to hop on a plane. To inspire frequent-er fliers, we focused on economy and frequency. A firehose of upstart humor made flair's fair fares feel closer to catching the subway than its inflated carrier competition.
Every time a brand asks to hack the Superbowl an Ad angel gets its wings. When DEVOUR Frozen meals wanted to do it we created a real $100k talent search for a fake Halftime ad and collected an extra-large helping of outrageous BTS audition content.
After years of chasing Corona to be the official beer of the beach. We helped yacht rocker Jimmy Buffett's beer brand find an ownable space in marina culture. To launch the brand's new attitude we christened the S.S. Landshark..
Two picture books that I've written and illustrated have been published by Harper Collins. Each are designed to inspire cuddling and contact between pre-k aged children and the grown-ups who love them.

I've done a lot of comedy, hosting, and web series. BEARDO was a sketch show I created for Pitchfork TV featuring myself and a long list of at-that-time-up-and-coming comedians like Kristen Schall, Fred Amristen, and Jon Glaser as well as musicians ranging from Andrew W.K. to to Ian Sevonious to Moby.
Since 1996 I've fronted the band Les Savy Fav. An outrageous live show, 4 albums of dissonant rock, and Brooklyn-band-before-that-was-cool pedigree have netted us performances at Coachella, Pitchfork Fest, ATP, Primavera Sound Spain, Laneway Australia, MOMA, The Getty, and club gigs around the world, occasional TV appearances, one episode of HBO's True Blood named after one of our songs, multiple Pitchfork "Best new music" reviews, credibility as an iconic "band's band", and about $3.58 in Spotify royalties.
